Aditya Kumar Jha, founder of LumiChats

Biography

Born in Chennai on 29 September 2004, Aditya Kumar Jha attended Kendriya Vidyalaya, where his aptitude for problem-solving first took shape. From a young age, he was drawn to understanding how systems worked — a curiosity that would define his career across engineering, product development, and creative writing.

He went on to complete a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT Chennai), graduating with the Class of 2026. During his time there, he conducted research in explainable artificial intelligence, culminating in a peer-reviewed paper published by Springer on lightweight neural networks for agricultural disease detection.

In 2025, Aditya founded LumiChats, a pay-per-day AI platform providing access to more than 40 premium AI models — including Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Qwen — to students and developers worldwide. The platform grew to serve users in 44 countries and introduced Study Mode, Agent Mode, and a free AI Glossary. In 2026, LumiChats Offline — a free, privacy-first, fully offline AI desktop application — launched on Product Hunt and reached #7 on launch day.

Alongside his engineering and product work, Aditya has authored six books across science fiction, thriller, romance, horror, and non-fiction — exploring themes of technology, human emotion, and social behaviour. He has been featured in The Andaman Chronicle and The Echo of India.
